I am so behind on everything these days...obviously updating Noah's blog is one of them! So much has happened in the past 2 months...here is a rundown:
1. I quit my job and went back to teaching. I loved work and working with my wonderful husband but the constant last second changes were not doable anymore. I am teaching Kindergarten at a Catholic school now!
2. Our nanny quit so we had to find daycare for Noah in a week...which was not so enjoyable. Thankfully a daycare center by our house had a spot for him.
3. (obviously) Noah started daycare...I was a wreck all week worrying about him being a disaster at daycare and I'll continue to worry. As a teacher myself, I know what it's like to deal with difficult children all day!
Enough about me...Noah is ONE! He started walking around his 1st birthday. He still doesn't walk all the time but I would say it's between 50-75% depending on the day. Noah is getting 4 molars right now ugh...the teeth never stop coming. He is still 99th percentile in weight, etc. He is still terribly inconsistent with sleep and I think he will be forever! Noah loves playing with his toy vacuum and playing at the park.
Nick and I were lucky enough to spend a night away last weekend and stay downtown Minneapolis. Nick's parents were in town and were so kind to stay with Noah (and watch him all week while we worked) so I could surprise Nick with a dinner/drinks and hotel stay!

Noah 11 month update
Noah will be ONE in 3 weeks....Ahhh! In some ways the year has flown by...in others, not so much.
Noah has 8 teeth, possibly 8.5 or 9 now since his molar is trying to pop through. He weighs 25 pounds. Noah still drinks quite a bit of formula during the day/night and not many solids. His favorite foods are junk food (like his mama and daddy)...frozen waffles and yogurt melts. He will hopefully eat healthy one day!
Noah still has no schedule as far as naps go...some days he takes two 30 minute ones and some days one 60 minute one...the kid does not need sleep apparently.
He loves swinging at the park, playing in the sand at his babysitter's, waving to people (he knows the word 'wave' now thanks to Auntie Sari..it is so cute), and crawling up the steps.
Here are some recent photos from August:

Teething=not fun!
Poor little Noah is getting his 9th tooth...possibly a molar. He has been nonstop crying and fussing all week, not napping (not too uncommon haha), and up every 30-60 minutes at night. The first few days he also had a slight fever of 100. I noticed last night while he was screaming that he had a blackish/blue spot on his upper right gum. I called Nick freaking out and googled it and discovered it's a tooth trying to pop. Poor little baby is in so much pain and nothing seems to help. We give him pain meds every 6 hours and that calms him down for a little. His other 8 teeth did not bother him like this one!

Summer photos
I can't believe this summer is half over! It is flying by :( Noah has been crawling and walking with his wagon/push toys all over the place!...no walking on his own yet. He is keeping us busy. Here are some recent photos of our almost 11 month old!:

Noah 10 month update!
I can't believe my baby is 10 months! We are having so much fun with Noah at this age. He is crawling all over, walking along everything, trying to share all his toys, and babbling away.
Noah still is put to sleep with his bottle and sleeps the same as mentioned in his 9 month update. I am so nervous to eventually end putting him to sleep without the bottle because it's the only way he can calm down!
Noah loves chasing our nanny's dogs and kiddos around and we are so thankful he is so loved by her family and has a blast every day he is over there!

Baltimore visit
My husband has been wonderful the past few months offering to stay with Noah so I can travel for work and for fun. Last weekend I went to visit my sister with a friend. We had a great time exploring Baltimore!

Start of summer
This summer has started off rainy and hot. It's a bummer we have had so much rain after quite a snowy, cold winter but we have to make do! Noah has been enjoying swimming with our wonderful nanny who takes him while her kids have swim lessons. He has also been to the Splash Pad with Nick and I a few times.
Nick's mom was kind enough to come watch Noah this past weekend so Nick and I could go to my college best friend's wedding and be baby free! It was wonderful to enjoy ourselves without worrying about Noah's meltdowns.

9 month update!
Noah is 9 months!
He is HUGE...he weighs about 25 pounds and is very strong!
Noah has 8 teeth.
He pulls himself to stand and can walk holding onto tables, etc. Noah is a crawling and standing maniac.
Noah started waving back at people when they wave. It's not all the time but when he does it, I find it adorable!
Naps can be one 30 minute nap or two 40 minute ones or one 1-1.5 hour one during the day...your guess is as good as mine! It's beyond frustrating that he has no consistency day to day.
Sleep at night can be 7-10 hours overnight. There are nights he is still up a few times. Some days he wakes up at 4am...other days, 5am. Wayyy too early for our liking. Our Noah appears not to need sleep. I am so jealous when I see sleeping babies in strollers, etc. Noah needs a bottle to go to sleep and a pitch black room...I don't know how the heck we will break that habit.
We love our crazy, high strung, extremely alert stinker.

I have the best brother & sister and Noah has the best aunty and uncle!
Mommy survived a week away!
I went on my Monday-Friday work trip last week. I had such a great time and even got to sleep 8 hours/night without worrying if Noah would be up any minute. I couldn't have had this trip without my amazing husband, wonderful sister, and sweet nanny. They all went above and beyond to take care of Noah while I was away!
After traveling alone on the flight and remembering our plane ride with Noah, Nick and I decided we won't be traveling with Noah unless it is absolutely necessary (in other words...only if we have to move someday). We will gladly pay for an overnight babysitter so that we can go on a trip child-free!
Here are some photos from my week away that I received via text:

Spring has finally arrived!
Spring has finally sprung in MN! It's been a rainy one so far but when it's not raining, it has been beautiful. Noah has been enjoying swinging at his nanny's house, playing in her sandbox, and going to the park with his Auntie Sari who is home for two weeks! Yipee!!
I will be traveling for work Monday through Friday next week so I am very thankful Sari will be hope to help Nick with Noah. Noah is quite the handful so having her here makes me feel much better about leaving. Meanwhile, I can't wait to sleep 9 hours at night in a hotel!
