Noah & daddy giggles!

Weekend Fun 2/28/14

Although we had terrible cold, snowy, icy weather, we still managed to have a great weekend!  Nick and I had a date night Saturday night and Noah had his first babysitter (outside of family and his nanny).  We went with my brother and his girlfriend to the Taste of Eden Prairie, which is a fundraiser for the Eden Prairie schools.  Nick, Noah, and I also made a trip to the mall for spring clothes for Noah for our upcoming trip to AZ and a trip to Costco.  We are so ready for spring...Noah needs some fresh air!!

Recent February Fun

This month is flying by!  We are disliking the snow and cold and are excited to go to Arizona in two weeks (but not deal with traveling/new routine for our high needs Noah!).

Some recent photos of our little stinker:

My little buddy!

Noah's nanny took this photo and we absolutely love it!

This is how I accomplish laundry, washing bottles, etc!

Noah admiring his Valentine he made for us with his nanny.  He literally will stare at it forever and make coo sounds!  Hilarious!

Noah loved Bdubs as much as daddy!

My new favorite treats!

Since I gave up caffeine when Noah was a few months old due to lack of sleep, I have become obsessed with Ginger ale!  It's my new favorite drink of choice.  I also found these Ginger candies at Trader Joe's that I absolutely LOVE!  Sadly I can eat the whole bag in one sitting (as you can see from the empty bag below!):

My sister and I also discovered a website we love to order each other food from for random gifts!  It's called the Tasteful Pantry  and it offers food/treats for all kinds of diets (gluten free, dairy free, nut free, vegan, etc.).  The customer service was awesome for both of us and the treats were unique and yummy!  I love finding services like this.  My sister just recently found out she needs to cut all dairy from her diet and it's hard to find treats without dairy so this website was a perfect surprise!

What's been going on in the life of Noah...

Noah is approaching 6 months!...in so many ways, it has been terribly long because of the lack of sleep but in other ways, it has gone by so quickly.

Noah's reflux is still prevalent.  He is still on Previcid and we are way too scared to take him off of it at this point.  I don't think it hurts him anymore but the actual refluxing (when we see it come up and he re-swallows) it still happens.  We figured out we can't give him baby food from the jars.  We were feeding him organic jarred baby food when we were in a hurry but he threw up a few times a day.  After some Googling, I figured out those have added acid (which does not fare well with reflux) to preserve them longer so that was bothering Noah.  Now we just mash up a banana each day.  He LOVES banana.  We tried avocado and he hated it!  We are just sticking with banana for now because it's such trial and error with foods and his reflux.

Noah's two bottom teeth are very visible and we think he's probably getting more because of his constant chewing and drooling.

Noah's favorite things are being held (of course), eating banana, chewing on everything and anything, and playing with anyone.  As long as someone is paying attention to him, he is one happy baby!  He can't be left alone or he cries but we are slowly learning to accept his high neediness.

He still isn't napping or sleeping well.  We are also learning to accept we can't do anything to make him sleep so we just have to move on and enjoy life on no sleep!

Not a fan of the avocado!

Noah moves to a convertible car seat!

Noah has moved out of his infant car seat and on to his convertible one that holds up to 40 pounds rear facing and 70 pounds forward facing.  Noah still hates the car seat and it's a LONG 10-15 minute drive to/from the nanny's and my parents' houses Monday-Friday!  Noah is now 20 or 21 pounds and the infant one only holds up to 22 pounds so we moved on!  He was looking way too squished in his infant one!

Noah loves doggies

Noah's nanny has two little doggies, Maddie and Leo.  Noah absolutely loves them!  He smiles and laughs at them all day, especially when they wrestle.

Oma & Opa visit

Sorry for the lack of posts!  It's been a lot of sleepless nights around here!  Noah has been waking up much more than normal (if that's possible) the past month so Nick and I are just trying to survive!

Nick's parents (Oma & Opa) came to visit the last week of January.  We didn't do too many exciting things because Nick and I worked but they let us enjoy a night of rest.  We stayed at Oak Ridge and slept 10 hours straight while they stayed home with Noah.  It was such a wonderful feeling to sleep!  I miss the nights I used to complain about 7 hours of sleep pre-Noah.

Here are a few photos of Noah with Oma and Opa:
